1. App Store Rating

Currently AppFit is a very small app without big marketing budgets. We stand hardly a chance against the dozen "big" fitness apps. Thus we need you! Please rate AppFit in the App Store! It only takes a few seconds and supports us tremendously. (Unfortunately Apple hides the "old" ratings after each app update.)

PRO VERSION features


1. Why should I pay for the PRO version?

This project was developed by a small athletic team with a lot of effort. Unfortunately we can’t live on love alone. Hence we need your support to develop AppFit further! Try the free version and upgrade to the pro version, if you like it as much as we do. You get all current additional features such as an unlimited number of workout routines, multiple muscles groups per exercise, break-timer with acoustic signal, cloud data backup. It also includes all upcoming features for e.g. statistics, tracking of body values, Health Kit & Apple Watch integration.

2. How does the break timer work?

Start your workout and tab on the stopwatch-icon at the bottom of the screen to reveal the break timer. You now see your total workout time in small below the break timer. It gives an acoustical signal, when time is up. Click on the stopwatch-icon again in order to fade-out the break timer. You can adjust the duration of the break timer in settings. Choose „Break-Timer Interval“ and pick a break time.

3. Do I need the cloud backup feature?

Activate your cloud backup in order to benefit from automatic backup, simple recovery, export of your data (coming soon) and import new workout routines.

BEFORE your workout


1. How do I add a new exercise?

Choose the exercise section in the menu and tap on „+“ in the top right-hand corner.

Now you can enter name, exercise type, one muscle group of various muscle groups (Pro version), description, up to 4 custom images and goal sets.

You can also mark, if it is a warming-up / cooling-down exercise. These exercises are not included in some statistics, as they are exchangeable.

2. How do I add a new workout routine?

Choose the workout section in the menu and tap on „+“ in the top right-hand corner. In the next view you can enter a name, add a note and choose the corresponding exercises.

3. How do I edit a created exercise?

Choose the exercise section in the menu and choose the exercise you’d like to edit. On the next page you can edit name, type, muscle group, description and custom images. At the bottom you also find the „Delete“ button. Click again on the edit-icon to close the edit mode. Please note: You can’t change the type on an exercise after training it once. Otherwise the statistics would be lost.

4. How do I edit a created workout routine?

Choose the workout section in the menu and tap on the workout routine you’d like to edit. In the next view you can change the name and the order of the exercises, add new exercises or delete current ones, add a note to the trainingsplan or delete the complete workout routine.

5. How can I reorder the exercises in my workout routine?

Choose the workout section in the menu and tap on a workout routine.

Click on the edit-icon in the top-right hand corner of the screen. Now drag and drop the exercise in the desired order.

6. How do I delete an exercise from a created workout routine?

Choose the workout section in the menu and tap on the workout routine, you want to delete.
Way 1: Swipe to the left across the exercise you’d like to delete and click Delete.
Way 2: Click on the edit-icon in the top-right hand corner to activate the edit mode. Tap on the red bubble in front of the exercise you’d like to delete and click Delete. Click again on the edit-icon to close the edit mode.

7. How do I delete an exercise completely?

Choose the exercise section in the menu. Click on the exercise you want to delete. At the bottom of the exercise details you find the Delete button… there you go!

8. How do I delete previous sets?

Choose the history section in the menu and click on the corresponding exercise. Swipe to the left across the set you’d like to delete and click Delete.

DURING your workout


1. How do I edit an exercise (name, description etc.) during my workout?

Tap on the edit-icon in the top-right hand corner to activate the edit mode. Now you can select an exercise and edit all the exercise informations in the corresponding detail view. Please note: You can’t change the type on an exercise after training it once. Otherwise the statistics would be lost.

2. How do I delete exercises during my workout?

Swipe to the left across the exercise you’d like to delete while in exercise list view. Click Delete.

3. How do I delete a set during my workout?

To delete a set from the current workout, swipe the set from right to left in the set list and tap the revealed "Delete" button. For deleting previous sets, choose the history section in the menu. Tap on "Exercises" in the segmented control at the top and select the corresponding exercise. Swipe to the left across the set you’d like to delete and click Delete.
